What better way to spend a simply sensational summer Saturday than with a game of golf! Add in the opportunity to win $10,000 all while raising funds to build Breathing Space: a home away from home transplant recovery facility, and to honour Jack Dunne, a motivator, mentor, and educator. During his last years, he fought cancer and COPD courageously. 1 in 5 Albertans are affected by chronic lung conditions and critical research is needed to help fund new treatments, and ultimately find a cure for lung disease.

Breathing Space will be a vital resource for the 77% of lung disease patients who live outside of Edmonton and are unable to afford the expense of relocating and residing here for the many months required to recover from this life saving procedure. This first of its kind in Canada facility will provide a sanctuary for lung transplant patients and their families. The Third Annual Dunne Golf Classic will help raise funds that will go directly towards this facility.

All proceeds will go towards Alberta Lung’s Breathing Space facility which will provide a sanctuary for lung transplant patients and their families, giving them much needed ‘breathing space’ in their fight to regain their strength and vitality. Since 1939, Alberta Lung has been funding supports and services in Alberta, and all funds raised in Alberta; stay in Alberta.
