Since 1939, Alberta Lung has been here for people living with lung disease and breathing conditions. Our purpose has always been to help Albertans breathe easier and live better.
Alberta Lung funded early research led by Dr. Maria Castro-Codesal at the University of Alberta that focused on better understanding children with serious breathing needs and the families who care for them. That research led to the creation of the DECIDE-T, a program that is helping make the tracheostomy journey easier for Alberta families.
