24 Hr Pickleball Challenge- Feisty Pickles

It’s happening! The world’s first-ever 24-hour pickleball challenge — Feisty Pickles — is set for Oct 24th–25th at Raise Athletics in St. Albert. Let’s rally for lung health.

This isn’t just a game. it’s a chance to change lives, Every point played supports the first recovery house for lung health in Canada. Breathing Space.

6:30pm – 7:30pm – Registration and Opening Ceremonies

Teams arrive and get settled in their designated spot in athletes village.
Prepare your team for opening ceremonies with your team flag & opening ceremony costumes.

8pm Friday – 8pm Saturday

Teams will have their assigned schedule & courts in advance.
Match Play Rules:
- 2 vs. 2 play for 45 mins straight
- 15 min changeover time
- Courts change once per hour
- 2 games will be played (max 3) in the 45 min timeframe
- Points tally will be based on who wins each game, and when the match is over, the team who is winning their current game will get that “point”.
You will have 15 minutes between each match to get your players to your next assigned court.

Food & Beverage

You will be provided with snacks & beverages throughout the 24 hours.
The Big Dill Lounge will be open:
- Friday 6pm – 12pm
- Saturday 8am – 7pm
- Beverages and food will be provided in the lounge for players during these times.
Teams are also encouraged to bring their own food & beverages to keep at their headquarters in
athletes village. Food is not allowed on the courts.
Additional food & beverage will be available for purchase throughout the day Saturday.

Paddle Extras

There will be a Wellness Zone that will include a refresh station and massage area.
The Courtside Pop Up Marketplace will be open Friday 7pm – 11pm and Saturday 10am – 7pm.
The Dill-lightful Deals Silent Auction will be open throughout the event. Be sure to check it out!

Plan ahead for your team’s 6 costumes to match each themed power hour block. There will be best costume prizes!

Spooky Smash

8PM – 12AM

Step onto the haunted courts where ghostly rallies and creepy cross-court dinks rule the night. Costumes highly encouraged —witches, vampires, and pickleball-playing zombies welcome! Expect some scary serves, thrilling music, and some ghoulish fun to get your blood pumping. Dare to play… if you’re not too afraid of sour serves and supernatural smashes!

Neon Night Rally

12AM – 4AM

Crank up the beats, lace up your leg warmers, and grab your glow paddles—it’s time to light up the night in full neon flair! With banging 80s hits, and electric energy, this retro pickleball rave will have you spinning and smashing ’til sunrise. Prizes for best throwback attire and most radical rally.

Dinkin’ at Dawn

4AM – 8AM

Rise and shine for sandy vibes and tropical tunes as the sun comes up! Think palm trees, beach balls, and fruity drinks as you hit the court in your best Hawaiian shirts and board shorts. It’s a chill beach bash—pickleball style. Bonus points for flip-flops and sunglasses!

Rally of Champions

8AM – 12PM

It’s game time! Represent your favorite team—any sport, any level—and hit the courts like a true MVP. Jerseys, face paint, foam fingers… the more outrageous the fan gear, the better. This power hour block is all about competitive spirit, epic showdowns, and team pride. Let the ‘tailgate meets pickleball’ madness begin!

High Noon Dinks

12PM – 4PM

Grab your cowboy hat and paddle up, partner—it’s time for a rootin’-tootin’ showdown on the pickleball plains. Western tunes, tumbleweeds, and toe-tappin’ action take over the courts. Yeehaw your way through drop shots and paddle duels in this wild, wild west pickleball power block.

Dill With It Fest

4PM – 8PM

Prost to the final stretch of the Power Hours! Wrap it up with a Bavarian bash—lederhosen, steins, and good vibes only. Traditional German music, soft pretzels, and maybe even a paddle-wielding polka or two. End the day with a crisp dink and a cold drink!
